Binnacle Project

This property is a townhome that was similar to every other townhome in the development. We wanted to give it some unique qualities that would set it apart from the others. The original design of the kitchens in all the townhomes were cut off from the dining room with a full wall enclosing the space in a U-shape, which felt cramped. We removed the wall separating the kitchen from the dining rooms, opened it up and replaced the wall with lower cabinetry and a prep island. Even though the square footage of the kitchen did not change, the result was a far more spacious and open feeling with flow & connection to the other living areas and views to outside.
